Lakeside Community Church History

Lakeside Community Church meets in the Civic Centre in the heart of Perton next to a beautiful lake. The church has been here for over 30 years and recently changed name to emphasise our heart for the community around us.

10 reasons for choosing Lakeside

Suitable for men (and women & young people!) Currently over 40% of our church are men, many of whom occupy key roles and ministries supporting the focused vision of the church.

Friendly welcoming people: visitors comment on the warm welcome they receive - many people enquire via the church website and then makes that important first visit. There is a separate Quiet Room with refreshments open during the service where you can sit and relax with staff on hand to greet you and pray with you if requested.

Good for kids: from Creche through groups Kidzone Blue, Kidzone Gold and Y Zone, our children enjoy an exciting and varied program of activities, often contributing in services. We are a DS-friendly church!

Popular with young people: read the LCCP testimony page! Many of our young people are involved in youth activities including music, drama, events, camping, keeping fit and lots of time together. Our young people are involved in their weekly small group and they are part of the Vitalise Sunday evening congregation, Wolverhampton Unite events and school Christian Union’s.

Great location: the church faces a beautiful lake (part of the river Penk) with varied wildlife, riverside & woodland walks and a brand new multi-purpose outdoor games area. We have great facilities including dropped kerb access with automatic doors,  supermarket & shops, dedicated car parks and bus routes to & from Wolverhampton, Codsall and other locations.

Life related teaching: we apply the life-changing teaching of the Bible to everyday modern life and benefit from its timeless wisdom.

Enjoying the presence of God: people regularly speak of sensing God’s presence during our services, especially during the extended worship times.

Stimulating worship: there is a high priority for corporate worship and we offer ministry for those who come forward for prayer.

Effective partnerships: we partner in mission with our friends in The Church At Perton & other local churches; Wolverhampton NET and the Midlands VIA group of churches.

Focused vision: we are preparing for and working towards a significant and lasting move of God in this region through our activities above – do consider joining us.
