It may be an unusual question, but who are you? Not what you do, your job or role in society, but your character, your personality, the inner you, the real you?

You may be unsure of who you are, why you are here or your life’s purpose - is there a point to life or is it just random?

These important questions come to us at different stages of life and through our unique positive and negative experiences.

At Lakeside Community Church Perton, we believe there is a point to life and there is a good purpose for your life!

A key is found in the concept that you are ‘made in the image of God’ (Gen. 1:27). If this is true, there must be a purpose to every life, which includes you!

We believe in an amazing God who has created you with the potential to know him and in the process discover and enjoy who you really are. This can be a fulfilling adventure if you are willing to invest a small amount of time in finding out.

In Ps 37:4 God promises to ‘give us the desires of our hearts’ in the context of going in the right direction, not the wrong one. Instead of being restricted and feeling we are missing out, we find we are fulfilled and now able to live in God’s freedom; freedom to be involved in good things that will bless our lives and the lives of others.  Jesus said ‘I am the way, the truth and the life’ (John 14:6): the way through life and ultimately to heaven, the truth to live by and the same resurrection life that he displayed.
