Lakeside Community Church History

Lakeside Community Church meets in the Civic Centre in the heart of Perton next to a beautiful lake. The church has been here for over 30 years and recently changed name to emphasise our heart for the community around us.

Acorn Club: Toddler group every Thursday during school term , 9.45am – 11.00am in the Lakeside Hall, Perton Civic Centre,  just turn up on the day!

Alpha Course:  This short 10 week course allows you to explore the Christian faith before making a personal decision to accept or reject it. We believe that the few hours given to explore, compared to the length of a lifetime with eternity to follow, is a small but wise decision, and so we highly recommend the Alpha Course to you – please email for details of the next course. Carnival: a team of people from both churches in Perton who work to provide an attractive float and stalls for the carnival

Community Saturday’s: we partner with our friends from the Church At Perton in Community Saturday’s with a variety of activities which include youth events (football cage), puppet shows, environmental activities, BBQ’s & refreshments and prayer for healing on the streets for anyone in need

Listening skills: we have a number of people trained in the art of listening skills who will sit down and listen to your story. They are not acting as trained counsellors, but part of our ministry team, equipped to minister to the whole person. We have a Quiet Room available on Sunday mornings

Missions teams: we send teams out to work on current projects we have in Romania – please email for more info

Second Saturday Tidy’ Up’s: A team of volunteers enjoy some fresh air and good company tidying up the areas of Perton we could easily take for granted – the lakes, river walk, central area and Dippons Lane. Do come and join us 10am – 12.00 noon, meeting at the Civic Centre, Church Road, equipment provided, please wear suitable clothing and footwear

We find this is very suitable for career paths, understaning your potential role in society, helps couples to better understand each other, and assists team managers to understand their teams.
