Pastoral ministry
Jesus instructed every believer to ‘go into all the world and make disciples of all nations’ Matt 28:17-20 (Gk: ethne- people groups).
He also called all the believers in a local church to ‘love one another as I have loved you’ John 13:34, adding ‘by this will all people know you are my disciples’ John 13:35.
Pastoral ministry in the local church is for the benefit of those who belong to the church, and often extends out into the community, developing into a vital ministry.
In Lakeside Community Church pastoral ministry is experienced in several ways:
- Through receiving the answer to your need directly from God during or after a worship service
- By receiving the answer to a need when taking part in the sacrement of Communion
- Through prayer from the Minstry Team after the service or in our designated Quiet Room (open all morning)
- Through belonging to a weekly home group where prayer for the individual (if requested) is an important part of the evening
- By requesting a visit from the Pastor or a member of the Leadership Team
- By requesting the Leadership Team to visit to pray for healing (James 5:14)
- Through the friendship & care of others and any of the above who visit on an ad hoc basis
- making an appointment to see Pastor Rob Pearson at some point in the week or for Pastor’s hour, 6.00pm – 7.00pm on a Thursday
Our church is here to help you, one of the best ways for us is to meet you on a Sunday morning in or after our service, or in our Quiet Room.

God bless you,
