Lakeside Community Church History

Lakeside Community Church meets in the Civic Centre in the heart of Perton next to a beautiful lake. The church has been here for over 30 years and recently changed name to emphasise our heart for the community around us.

Vision & values

Lakeside Community Church Perton – Vision & values:

Primary focus: prepare for 300 people attending weekly (5% of local population in 2 churches)

Supportive strategy:

Develop networking links and support (e.g. VIA)

Work with local churches who will partner with us

Everyone works toward a move of God in this geographical area

Appoint, train and release key leaders and their teams (through VIA/ NET/ New Wine etc) and the Church Development Plan

Develop our spirituality & gifts of the Spirit in the life of the church

Work towards office-based church administration with a gift day

Upgrade our administration & presentation capabilities

Specialise for children, youth, young adults, adults & seniors

Prepare for a church plant

(VIA is: Vision in Action, the Midlands network of Pioneer churches)

(The NET is a Black Country network of churches of which we belong to Wolverhampton NET churches)

(New Wine is a summer Bible week which runs in the UK and other parts of the world for renewal and mission)
